LAURA RAMIREZ

Laura Ramírez presented her work “Mirages of the Soul” at the Chelsea NYC, Spirit del Art Gallery from Dec 5 to 19, 2019.

With previous solo shows in Paris, Germany and Mexico and multiple accolades and awards from prestigious institutions in the US and Mexico, Laura once again took her audience on a soul search, translating the endless mystery of the universe.

Her proposal “Mirages of the Soul” was largely undertaken by linking the fascinating element of the human genome to the collective human experiences of survival, transformation and ascendancy.

This merging of the cosmic nature and its manifestation onto present human consciousness was formed through drafting illustrative line and color for the representation of the biological nature, and the cosmological spirit.

Both her pictorial and sculptural oeuvre demonstrated a myriad of representational expressions of the reciprocal projection between the natural body and its imaged ethereal spiritual form. Her creation was possible through an amalgamation of artistic biological knowledge and deep spiritual devotion into the relationship of the two, ultimately in the present self-reflection of its creative materialization.

During her NYC show, Laura Ramirez offered a set of aesthetic creations made of acrylic on canvas, encaustic, mixed media, amongst others, to help us unlock the meaning of our beginnings that allows us to look into our MIRAGES OF THE SOUL.
